Description: Promote is a selective pre- and post-emergent herbicide containing 75% halosulfuron-methyl for control or suppression of listed broadleaf weeds and nutsedge. It is labeled for use in field corn, sweet corn, popcorn, cotton, dry beans, grain sorghum, rice, soybeans, sugarcane, and fallow ground. As a Group 2 sulfonylurea herbicide, Promote inhibits acetolactate synthase (ALS), stopping growth in susceptible weeds.
