What is it?

Propiconazole is a systemic fungicide that is absorbed by the plant and translocated through its tissues. It is known for its broad-spectrum activity, making it an effective choice for both curative and preventative treatments. Propiconazole can be applied to a variety of crops, including cereals, fruits, vegetables, turfgrass and ornamental plants. It is very commonly used in turf grass in combination with Azoxystrobin.

How does it work?

Propiconazole is rapidly absorbed by the plant and moves through its vascular system. This systemic action allows it to protect both existing and new growth from fungal infection. By inhibiting ergosterol synthesis, propiconazole disrupts the formation of the fungal cell membrane, ultimately leading to the pathogen's death. This dual action makes it suitable for both curative and preventative applications.
