What is it?

Boscalid is a broad-spectrum fungicide belonging to the chemical class of carboxamides.  The fungicide is both curative and preventative, making it a versatile tool in managing fungal diseases. Results can typically be observed within a few days of application, depending on the severity of the infestation and environmental conditions. It is highly effective against a wide range of fungal pathogens, including those responsible for powdery mildew, botrytis, and various leaf spot diseases. How does it work?

Boscalid inhibits the SDH enzyme within fungal cells, disrupting the mitochondrial respiration process. This interruption leads to a depletion of ATP, the primary energy currency of the cell, thereby halting the growth and proliferation of the fungus. The disruption of energy production leads to the death of the fungal cells. The visible effects of Boscalid on fungal diseases typically become apparent within days to weeks after application, depending on the disease severity and environmental conditions.
