What is it?

Mefenoxam is a systemic fungicide belonging to the phenylamide class of chemicals. How does it work?

Mefenoxam targets the ribonucleic acid (RNA) polymerase in fungal cells, specifically inhibiting their ability to produce RNA. This inhibition disrupts the normal functioning of the fungal cells, stopping their growth and preventing the synthesis of essential proteins. As a result, the fungal cells die, and the spread of the disease is controlled.
