What is it?

Fluroxypyr is a selective post-emergent herbicide used to control a wide range of broadleaf weeds. It is absorbed by the leaves and stems of the weeds and translocated throughout the plant, disrupting normal growth patterns and leading to plant death. Fluroxypyr is often used in cereals, pastures, rangelands, and non-crop areas.

How does it work?

Fluroxypyr works by imitating natural auxins, which are plant growth hormones. When applied, it is absorbed by the weed's foliage and stems. This leads to uncontrolled cell division and elongation, disrupting vital plant processes and causing abnormal growth. Eventually, the weed cannot sustain itself and dies. Visible results can typically be seen within a few days to a week after application, depending on environmental conditions and the weed species.
